Wayanad, Kerala

Wayanad District is in the north-east of Kerala state. It is set high on the Western Ghats with altitudes ranging from 700 to 2100 m. It is an ideal place for bird watching specially endemic birds of western ghats. There are around 350 species of birds both resident and migratory are recorded in Wayanad. I had visited this place in Nov 2017. We stayed in Kalpetta. A beautiful place with nice view of Chembra Peak. African Tulip flower was in full bloom that time and I could click so many birds which came to feed in the flower.
